Welcome

‘Be still and know that I am God.’

These words, engraved on the glass doors of Holy Trinity, offer a simple invitation to everyone who comes through them: to pause, to be still, and to find a moment of peace.

Holy Trinity is a place for many different experiences – for quiet prayer and reflection, for worship and music, for celebration and fellowship, and for concerts and community events. Above all, we hope that everyone who comes through our doors will find a warm welcome and a sense of belonging.

Holy Trinity is a thriving Grade I listed Parish Church, rooted in the inclusive and liberal modern Catholic tradition of the Church of England. For centuries it has stood at the heart of the community of Bradford on Avon, and we are proud of its continuing role as a church for the whole community. Our doors are open every day, and we welcome local residents as well as visitors from near and far. We enjoy close links with our neighbours the Saxon Church of St Laurence and St Mary Tory.

Holy Trinity is part of the Benefice of Bradford on Avon Holy Trinity, Westwood and Wingfield, together with our sister churches, St Mary’s Wingfield and St Mary the Virgin in Westwood. Each church has its own character, history, and atmosphere, and each offers a place to find stillness, beauty, prayer, and welcome. Together, we are enriched by the different gifts, traditions and experiences of our three communities.

We are part of the Church of England, within the worldwide Anglican Communion, and the Diocese of Salisbury. Since 2013, the three churches have shared the life of the Benefice, and we are grateful for all that this shared journey has brought us. We look forward to welcoming you, wherever your journey begins.
